Pastor Ron Nuñez – Lead Pastor
Ron Nuñez is the pastor of Woodruff Place Baptist Church and is from the Bay area of San Francisco. Ron came to faith when he was 18 and a couple of years later, enrolled at Bible college in the city of Oakland, California. In 2006, he planted a church in the inner city of East Oakland where he served for eight years. He then took over the leadership role of an established church and merged that church with the Oakland church plant. In January 2017, Ron started a new phase of ministry when he, along with his family, moved to Indianapolis to become the Lead Pastor of Woodruff Place Baptist Church. Ron has been married for 23 years and have two children, Grace (20) and Lucas (11). He enjoys camping and traveling with his family, cooking together, and visiting local thrift stores.
Donna Studevent – Director of Compassion, Care and Communication

Donna has been involved in ministry since the age of 16, when she and her family joined with other American Baptist church families as they began worshipping together at the Marion County Fair Grounds to plant a new church on the eastside of Indianapolis. This was her first involvement with mission work and still today mission continues to be a part of her life. She has been involved in providing special music in many of our area churches and nursing homes for many years. She has advocated and provided one-on-one care for senior citizens needing in-home assistance and guidance as they journeyed through the Medicade system. She loves teaching children and leading and participating in adult Bible Studies. She also loves playing with her great grandchildren and introducing them to her love of gardening and playing in the snow!
Joshua Mendoza – Director of Sports Ministry

Josh Mendoza has worked with youth and in ministry for over 15 years. He has experience in building sports and adventure related programs, has a degree in Organizational Management, and is a graduate of the DeVos Urban Leadership Initiative. Josh, originally from Denver, Colorado, has a heart for discipleship and community. He moved to Indianapolis in June of 2021 as he felt the calling of God to be in the city during a visit in February of that year. He is married to his wife Vanessa who he shares a blended family of 5 kids. Some of his hobbies include sports, hiking, and writing.
