The Childcare Place

Who We Are

The Childcare Place at Woodruff Place is a ministry of Woodruff Place Baptist Church. Our goal is to provide a safe environment of high quality for the children of the Near Eastside community.

Our Mission

Inspired by the congregation of the Woodruff Place Baptist Church, The Childcare Place exists to support the families of the community. Parents who are working or pursuing education find trusted help in caring for their children during the hours they are occupied. The Childcare Place seeks to nurture children in Christian values, intentionally embracing economic and cultural diversity.

Responsibilities of The Childcare Place

The Childcare Place will provide a safe environment that supports the development of the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and creative growth of each child. Our authority for all teaching and ministry is the Word of God. Children will be taught Bible stories and principles. They will be encouraged, but not forced, to pray.

We are open from 6:00am to 5:30pm for children four weeks to twelve years of age. Before and after school care provides transportation to and from school.

We serve breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack that meet the State of Indiana nutritional guidelines. Children will be encouraged to eat, but not forced. The Childcare Place will schedule a time for daily naps for all children in our care, as required by State regulations. Children will be encouraged to nap, but not forced.

Toys, games, educational and recreational activities are provided for all children.

Our Mission Statement

"But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you... and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare."
