Pastor Thomas Eden and his wife Daisy are missionaries to the city. They live in the neighborhood. The Edens moved into Woodruff Place from Chicago in 1987.

Thomas Eden holds an Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary. Before being called to pastoral ministry, he was a member of the Lyric Opera of Chicago for thirteen seasons. Daisy works in an office in downtown Indianapolis. She is active in every aspect of the church's work.

Pastor Tom's responsibility at Woodruff Place is to be the Shepherd of the Flock. He sets the vision for the congregation, leads worship, preaches, teaches, trains leaders, visits, and counsels. Pastor Eden oversees the spiritual development of the Deacons.
